Congresswoman, Barbara C. Jordan
Barbara Charline Jordan (1936 – 1996) was born in Houston, Texas. Her childhood was church-centered, her father a Baptist minister and mother a teacher in the church. Jordan credited a speech she heard in her high school years by Edith S. Sampson, a Black lawyer, judge and the first Black U.S. delegate appointed to the United Nations, with inspiring her to become an attorney.
Because of segregation, Jordan could not attend The University of Texas, so she attended Texas Southern University, an historically-Black institution and majored in political science and history. There she was a national champion debater, defeating opponents from Yale and Brown and tying Harvard University. She graduated magna cum laude in 1956 and went on to Boston University School of Law where she graduated in 1959.
Barbara Charline Jordan (1936-1996) was the first Black person elected to the Texas Senate after Reconstruction and the first Southern Black woman elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. Jordan served as Chair of the U.S. Commission on Immigration Reform, which recommended profound actions to stabilize immigration.
"More is required of public officials than slogans and handshakes and press releases. More is required. We must hold ourselves strictly accountable. We must provide the people with a vision of the future."
"There is no executive order; there is no law that can require the American people to form a national community. This we must do as individuals and if we do it as individuals, there is no President of the United States who can veto that decision."
"We call ourselves public servants but I'll tell you this: we as public servants must set an example for the rest of the nation. It is hypocritical for the public official to admonish and exhort the people to uphold the common good."
"We must exchange the philosophy of excuse - what I am is beyond my control for the philosophy of responsibility."
“It is both a right and a responsibility of the democratic society to manage immigration so that it serves the national interest.”
"We have made mistakes. In our haste to do all things for all people, we did not foresee the full consequences of our actions. And when the people raised their voices, we didn't hear. But our deafness was only a temporary condition, and not an irreversible condition."
"Let each person do his or her part. If one citizen is unwilling to participate, all of us are going to suffer. For the American idea, though it is shared by all of us, is realized in each one of us."
"Let there be no illusions about the difficulty of forming this kind of a national community. It's tough, difficult, not easy. But a spirit of harmony will survive in America only if each of us remembers that we share a common destiny."
"A nation is formed by the willingness of each of us to share in the responsibility for upholding the common good."
"It is reason, and not passion, which must guide our deliberations, guide our debate, and guide our decision."
"One thing is clear to me: We, as human beings, must be willing to accept people who are different from ourselves."
“Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence; those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave.”
"For our immigration policy to make sense, it is necessary to make distinctions between those who obey the law and those who violate it."
“For the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process.”
“We must face the fact that unilateral action on the part of the United States will never be enough to stop illegal immigration. Immigrants come here illegally from source countries where conditions prevail that encourage or even compel them to leave. Attacking the cause of illegal migration is essential and will require international cooperation.
Race Relations...what we are doing.....is not working
All people regardless of nationality, view the world through the eyeglasses of their identity group. This is the first truth in the challenge for equitable and harmonious race relations. The most natural aspect of survival is defense of your group against all others. It is the sworn oath and obligation of national leaders to make this priority in all things. A truth for all living beings.
At the basis of improving Race Relations MUST be respect and understanding of this TRUTH
Yes, your LOVING response to ADOS should be ... I see by the evidence that your group has been wronged by my group, therefore in the spirit of LOVE we will repair this damage by not stepping in front of your people for entitlements, by hearing you when you express your concerns, by respecing your ideas for solutions, by recognizing your unique position as native people to America with loyalty and allegiance to no other Homeland, we HONOR your placement here and note your many contributions to this Homeland. Forgive my people from other Homelands as more recent residents in America for placing our wants and desires over your own to further damage ADOS.
Who are your allies?
To address race issues find out who are your allies, who are your competitors and who dominates. 5/2020
COME OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE
ALL people act in ways to protect THEIR interests. STOP BLAMING 6/2020
PARENTS ...What values are you modeling before your children? Love, respect, do no harm to others or greed, get what you want by any means necessary, laws are only valid if they help me and pray forgiveness for those I break.
Are ILL GOTTEN GAINS okay? When you recognize these behaviors in your children, how do your correct it ..... or do you try? 7/2020
Racism is the ability to act on your displeasure of others who complain about you. As opposed to those with opinions that strike no fear or adverse effects. 7/2020
Understand this about ethnic relations, WE SEE OTHERS AS WHAT THEY REPRESENT.
Racism's Power Dynamic
Who has been given authority to determine outcomes over other people's lives? That is structural racism. Racism is an action verb. Anything else is an opinion. 8/2020
When strangers encounter you, they see what you represent, the stereotypes of your group. 9/2020
How is it that we "choose" the person or group in with to show compassion and not another? What criteria do you employ? Your Group Preferences? 9/2020
As we observe treatment around the globe we realize that it has less to do with skin shade. It is all about your “mark”. What you are marked as. 10/2020
White National, Black National, Asian National, Native American National - what is Nationalism? It is love and OWNERSHIP of their territory, homeland, space. To be defended and preserved for their own. Why do we single out out white nationalist and label them as hate groups when this protectionist behavior is known throughout the world. It is not confined to human populations, but seen among all living beings. STOP LABELING AND LEARN
You will never find a Black American Descendant Of Slaves waving any other than an American flag. This is our only Homeland. 2/2020
Does America belong to the world?
HOMELAND Bonds Nations into ONE people - DIVERSITY of common goals DIVIDES
Homeland is obligated to maintain citizen well being. 2/2020
When citizens love and respect their homeland, they can be trusted to do what is in the best interest of the all there. 5/2020
When in your ethnic homeland, what is the talk about "foreigners?" 5/2020
When you know better in your heart. What you would not tolerate one hour in your beloved homeland, you expect acceptance elsewhere for 30 plus years.
Love means DO NO HARM 6/2020
A people who have never been fully incorporated into their Homeland are understandably reluctant to welcome others who come to take and demand that they move over. 6/2020
Your homeland, ________________, should generously open doors to anybody in the world seeking better life for their family.
Don't be deceived. Every Nation claims "Ours First" 8/2020
KNOW THIS..... When you leave a homeland it does not leave you. 8/2020
In our homeland, democracy is an excellent form of government, when the people are heard and can vote their desires in or out. Democracy works best when the voters are considerate, thoughtful, kind, fair and committed to the wellbeing of the nation.
WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?
Though an immigrant, I honor my origin homeland, I honor the traditions and practice them, I just don't want to live there.
Saying, I don't want to use my limited years of life working there to make it a better place. 8/2020
When you cannot run away.....
You Stand Up and Change Things
America is heavily influenced by England and their traditional class system. Therefore, it should not surprise us that class bias is strong in America where it is better to be upper than lower. The same people with very different lifestyles based on assignments by birth. 9/2020
Where are people leaving and where are they running to? This SHOWS the nations that have a reputation for caring. 10/2020
Would a poverty stricken family invite poor strangers into their home to take care of? NO, they have hurting children. SO SHOULD NATIONS WITH EVIDENT POOR 11/2020
HOW DO WE JUSTIFY ENTITLEMENT TO ANOTHER'S HOMELAND?
If you knowingly stepped ahead of somebody else to obtain financial rewards, can you understand their resentment?
Our people suffer at the hands of those who do not understand that as they sit in comfort, they give our children's inheritance to others. 7/2020
Leaders making economic decision for ALL using the same playing field may not notice that for some the field is steep and smooth for others. Yet. issuing rules that are politically correct harms instead of heals. I don't have to be politically correct. I have to be morally correct. 7/2020
Structural Racism 8/2020
RACE MATTERS ..........
TIME IN THE COUNTRY AND RECORD OF SERVICE TO THAT COUNTRY MATTERS LESS 9/2020
Who's got your back? Your GROUP. Group members support each other financially to grow their resources and power. 10/2020
Can you imagine what the wealth gap would look like today if America had trained ADOS and other natives as nurses, doctors, engineers, tech specialist, and more rather than inventing in the citizens of other countries? 10/2020
Why would you treat my Homeland people like it does not belong to them? When it becomes your only Homeland and
all other Homelands are put away......
We Will Welcome You
Stop naming racist determined by you. It is hate talk. Do some self-examination of your race relations thoughts. Uplift yourself and others, knowing that if mired in negative judgement you do more harm than good to yourself and others. Free your thinking. 5/2020
Reality is neither hate or love talk, but true situation talk 6/2020
Stop hiding behind name calling and look truth in the face 6/2020
GOD is love. What would GOD DO? 7/2020
Mother is expected to LOVE. The Mother - Land is expected to LOVE and PROTECT. As we observe who is fleeing their homeland to find PROMISE LANDS elsewhere, we must ask .......WHY? 7/2020
During this time of suffering when millions worldwide fall due to the COVID-19 virus, the observation field is equally flat to see how each nation loves and protects not just their citizens but the "others" in their land. 8/2020
I recently made a list of the people that I "LOVE" Then I wrote down 1) when I last told them so 2) how I show them 3) what I would do if I lost them.
How Do You Love? 9/2020
Communication through behavior tells who you are, NOT utterances of your mouth.
If you don't love and appreciate living in your homeland, examine yourself and then what your people represent. 10/2020
Hate corrupts the container that carries it and opens conflict doors. Love opens healing doors. 2/2020
Diversity allows us to know each other. We cannot relate if we are isolated from shared understandings that come with interaction. We grow from knowing each other.
Diversity interactions is God’s way of teaching that we have more in common than different and therefore a base for love and respect. 5/2020
Diversity must not be confused with foreign presence. God sends representatives into other nations to teach and serve, not just to occupy. DO NOT HARM 6/2020
How is diversity displayed positively in every country and how is it a source of conflict? 7/2020
Should people benefit from "ill gotten gains?" 7/2020
Diversity is taking a place for examination of ethnic relations teaching when we see bias at home and throughout the world.
How do we as world people benefit from offerings from all people who bring diverse perspectives and contributions to the kaleidoscope of knowledge, beauty and humanity without overrunning homelands and displacing natives? Without bringing group bias that undermines love, respect and do no harm? Then we will know the keys to living together as one. 8/2020
How is it that people who came after the Native to America ADOS, feel justified to suggest that they be returned to their ancestor's Motherland? Or more recent people who come dismiss or ignore ADOS?
CELEBRATE good, loving, kind, cooperative, considerate DIVERSITY 10/2020
Observing population changes around the world, when inviting diversity, they also invite unexpected changes to all ways of live for
citizens even those later regretted.
If you desire to teach your children the pure culture, stay where the culture is uninfluenced. Outside of this sphere culture will be challenged and changed as a byproduct of diversity. 10/2020
We have allowed ourselves to be made 2nd class citizens. But, enough is enough! Demand 1st Now! 2/2020
ADOS is daily asked to open our hearts to all. America has become an entitlement for those who come. The world should lovingly reciprocate. What are ADOS entitled to in England, Mexico, Nigeria, Honduras, Cuba, Canada, South Africa, Korea and on and on?
How important is it for citizens of a nation to be able to communicate with each other and why is it not universal in all countries?
Sadly, what kind of people prefer to be any place else other than at their homeland?
What does citizenship entitle one to? Are the same benefits appropriate for non citizens? Why or Why not? 7/2020
If your allegiance is to a foreign homeland instead of your residential homeland, should you be allowed to vote and determine life for dedicated citizens of the residential homeland? 7/2020
Born and raised as a citizen for one country yet, allowed to join the Army in a foreign country? Where is your heart? 7/2020
At President John F. Kennedy’s inaugural,
he stated “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country,” I say "Ask not what another's country can do for you." 8/2020
Citizens of the World? Every country is owned by their citizens. Therefore, every citizen is "entitled" to ask non-citizens "why are you in my country?" and receive a satisfactory answer. 9/2020
Birthright Citizenship assumes a pledge of allegiance to the country that you are born in. This requirement in the law is more important than the place you are born. It is the essence of why you are a citizen of ONE PLACE and not your parent's homeland. 10/2020
American families living on a Military Base in Germany and Japan are still loyal Americans. The Base is similar to Ethnic Enclaves in America that represent subsidiaries of their Homeland in all ways except geographically. On the Base, we spoke our language, practiced our American ways of life, waved our flag and celebrated American holidays. We continued to support American political issues and interests as proud representatives of our Homeland.
I would support a business that trained and hired ADOS public housing residents, Black youth and homeless to work in call centers as part of a Reparation Plan. 5/2020
As local governments investigate reparations I question what they will base award upon? Who will be included and who will be decision makers. I suggest that they first talk to the people and ask a few questions about their lives and how their dreams have been derailed. At this important juncture in our growth, it is necessary to get this one correct. 7/2020
You told us there was not money for extra education for ADOS children to insure that they read at grade level by giving them books. Yet, you found money to educate the children of foreign governments. Hate or Love? What country does this?
Add this to Reparation Claims 7/2020
America Cannot Afford ADOS Reparations?
Yet, how much American money is sent as FOREIGN AID to countries for their citizens?
Reparations mean REPAIR. If you come and can return home, you are not harmed by decades of racism and ethnic bias. Do not demand what is not yours. 9/2020
Repair Now. When your stove stops working , do you wait a year to fix it? Daily ADOS is harmed and local jurisdictions are considering reparations. They must look at decisions made locally that impact harms to ADOS and FIX THEM NOW by repairing financial loses. If not, class action lawsuits should be on the table. 9/2020
You Deserve Reparations
Imagine how it would feel to never know where the money for food, rent and bills, dressing your children and getting transportation, is coming from?
You watched your grandparents, parents and now yourself repeat this pattern.
What kind of attitude would you have?
How would you feel about your country?
Native Americans were pushed off of most of their land, some owned slaves. In some states if they evidence Indian bloodlines they can get college tuition waivers.
Native to America Descendants of Slaves worked to build America, have suffered untold discrimination and many also prove Native American bloodlines. There is NO State that waives their college tuition. WHY? 10/2020
While studying reparations for slavery – I ask, what repairs are owed ADOS for offenses of the last 30 to 50 years? You will have no trouble identifying recipient families. 2/2020
History is merciless. Just The Facts. What are the facts in your community that sustain and widen racial wealth gaps?
History teaches. Destruction of history, no matter how hateful is like burning ancient books because they displease you. Mature and directed growth depends on ALL history. Race Relations depends on ALL perspectives. 7/2020
During the month of July, I dedicated KNOW BLACK HISTORY (Patreon.com) podcast posts to Blacks in service to America. Even when fighting military quotas to join, they were in line to show how patriotic they were. For people who believe that we left the plantation and emerged on the welfare rolls, you owe yourself the education of American history. 7/2020
Looking at pictures of abolitionist, Panther Party supporters, civil rights marchers and bus riders, I am not surprised by the racial mixture of the brave BLM protesters today. 8/2020
We create history every day. What history are your leaving for your children to emulate? Love and respect or selfishness and disregard for the rights of others?
Like history, writers on race determine the narrative and focus. Their perspective skews the factual presentation. White investigators of the "races" categorized Caucasians, Mongolians and Negroids according to their racial group biases. Interesting the Africans who saw Caucasians for the first time wondered why the color had drained from their skin. So sad to grade human value by skin color.
KNOW HISTORY AND YOU WILL KNOW TRUTH
How do we untangle past history, past negative teaching, present biases, enduring privileges and group favoritism to create one America? 2/2020
Often times we are reminded to treat others as we want to be treated. This is always a good place to start when negotiating race relations reforms.
I suggest that you also look again at EACH of the COMMANDMENTS for guidance. Particularly, the killing and stealing. Linger around the treatment of mothers and fathers. also. 7/2020
Thou shall not make unto thee any graven image. Graven images are what we worship, be that money or our claims to power and status. 8/2020
Thou shall not steal. Not my neighbors inheritance, my neighbors job, or their means of surviving and thriving. Thou shall not covet. 8/2020
Bearing false witness against your neighbor. Racial and ethnic bias harbored quietly within comes to the surface and witnesses the lie.
Thou shall not kill .... the reputation of others, the hope of others, their body, mind or soul. 10/2020
REPARATIONS Every Homeland that elects to violate the natural or legislative laws in place to protect sovereignty of that Homeland, are in violation of a sacred trust. They are RESPONSIBLE for damages done to native citizens and held ACCOUNTABLE for REPAIRS TO THEM.
STOP AMNESTY REWARDS FOR VIOLATION OF LAWS THAT HURT NATIVE CITIZENS (ADOS)
If reason and fairness is dismissed then class action lawsuits are justified - THIS IS OUR ONLY HOMELAND
Thou Shalt Not Covet
Jesus’ parable of the Good Shepherd.
He that entereth not by the door (proper portal) into the sheepfold (homeland), but climbeth up (wall) some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. The thief comes not but to steal and to kill and to destroy.
The hired wolf (coyote) distracts the shepherd, then scattereth and devours the sheep, then flees for it careth not for the sheep. 2/2020
Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
I will shake all nations and the desire of all nations shall come and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord.
What mean ye that ye beat my people to pieces and grind the faces of the poor? saith the Lord God of hosts.
He shall judge the world with righteousness and the people with His truth. 5/2020
Nation of Immigrants
I believe that God blessed America to be a composite of peoples representing the world. How best to test man's ability to LOVE? Like the concept of Heaven, there is one place for all who receive the gift of salvation. God tasked us to build Kingdom on earth. Inclusion. How is this possible? Only by adherence to God's Truths of love, respect and do no harm one to another. By showing the world that Kingdom is possible we demonstrate world possibilities. There will be no need to leave your homeland to get to a promised land. God assigned you a homeland promised to you. In a nation of immigrants the ongoing challenges will be the strive for unity when it is natural for all beings to support their identity group over "them" elements. There will be competition and clashes in ideologies. Only through Divine guidance will we be able to understand living together as equally valued. If this is not the mission of America, we must look to another way to live together that does no harm. 6/2020
Jesus said that "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty." No need to leave home noted here. Either you trust and believe or you take the task into your hands.
If God said I will supply all of your needs. you reply "I don't believe you and I've got this." 6/2020
What did the false prophets report?
Make New Dreams. Notice your lack and take what you want. Don’t depend on (trust) God to provide. Look over there. Take the initiative to GO and TAKE it leaning to your wisdom. Forget gratitude for what you have, you deserve more.
What the false prophets did not tell you
Foreigners are universally resented, used and sometimes despised in every homeland
Foreigners will never feel totally accepted even after generations there
Original homeland is part of your DNA, embedded in your head and heart
Love of identity is love of self
Loss of homeland and identity is loss of self
What did God tell us?
You are my people whom I love. I purposely gave you all they you need. I gave you a beautiful homeland, all the resources that you need to have abundant life and leaders who are mandated to care for you.
All I ask is that you first love me, love yourself and others, even your enemies. Trust me and it will be well. 6/2020
For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ. 6/2020
3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall
9 An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be
11 By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked. 7/2020
14 Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
15 He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hateth suretiship is sure.
21 Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
27 He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.
28 He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.
31 Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.
In Service To Those

Leaders of Governments
Let us take opportunity to build kingdom on earth through the practices of love, respect and do no harm to each other. 8/2020
Psalm 147 God Provides For His Nation and People
V 20 He hath not dealt so with any (other) nation and as for His judgments, they have not known them
God gathered the outcasts in Jerusalem. He healed their broken hearts and bound their wounds. God knew them personally. The Lord is Great in power and infinite understanding. He lifts the meek and brings down the wicked. Therefore, give thanks with singing praises. God Is The Provider. The clouds give us rain, grass grows on the mountains, the animals and birds are fed. (Lean not to your understanding) God negates the claimed strength of animals and man. God expects them to recognize the source of their strength and respect God for it. then you will receive His hope and mercy.
God will establish boundaries and borders for your safety and preservation and within those gates the best of crops will be given unto you. You are His children. God will provide earthly elements for your prosperity. Because you are his Nation, His children, His hosen people . WHO ARE GOD'S PEOPLE? Believers, Jew and Gentile 9/2020
The Head Of John The Baptist
Reading Matthew 14, the beloved prophet and cousin of Jesus Christ, John The Baptist was imprisoned by King Herod. John had dared to pronounce the sin of adultery between the king and Herodias, his brother Philip' wife. Her daughter danced prettily at Herod's birthday party prompting him to promise her any wish. "I wish the head of John The Baptist on a tray." What could the king do, but honor his word? Therefore, acting on her mother's revenge, a Godly man was beheaded.
Bible stories remind us of our reality. Who has the ears of our leaders and why? What are their motivations and agendas? Who do they serve and who owes them?
This has been at the base of race and ethnic, rich and poor, advantaged and disadvantaged relationships throughout social and political history. It operates across the globe every moment of the day. Bias and personal gain NEVER SLEEPS. Who is being "beheaded" during our watch? 9/2020
Put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge afte rthe image of him that created him. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus. But, he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of person.
Colossians 3: 10,17,25 10/2020
As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Joshua 1: 5 EITHER YOU BELIEVE IT OR YOU DO NOT
Notwithstanding the land shall be desolate because of THEM THAT DWELL THEREIN, for the fruit of their doings. 10/2020
RENEWED OF MIND AND HEART. RENEWED IN LOVE.
...that ye may prove what is that good and
acceptable and perfect will of God
REJOICE IN HOPE 10/2020
Bless those who persecute me?
Fellowship with others, rejoice and weep together
Be of one mind and purpose, together, High and not Low
Pay not evil with evil
Live in peace with ALL
Avenge not yourselves, leave that to God
Provide for the hunger and thrust of your enemy
Be overcome with good
And God decreed thusly; the heavenly process must continue with mortal portals as with Jesus on earth. While you tarry, be patient and love actively. Some will be called quickly while others may toil for 80, 90 even 100 years. But, the process must be respected as it is Mine. 11/2020
Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? 1Corinthians 6:2
Paul referenced this future privilege because he wanted to inspire believers to settle disputes peacefully on earth. They had been suing each other and consequently harming the reputation of other believers in their community. From Jennifer Benson Schuldt Our Daily Bread.
We enter this year burdened by a world in turmoil, family members against each other, a nation and a world mourning moral righteousness. We are tempted to despair and forget that God is always in command. As we deal with battles against principalities, take time to understand and represent God's truths, set things right with your neighbors and present yourself worthy to judge the world with Jesus in the next life. 1/10/2021
If with every generation your group starts the wealth race mid-way to the finish line and my group starts behind GO, then how do we close the wealth gap? 2/2020
