Justifying Race Hate – The Race to Win

On your mark

Get Set

….. GO

Who will the winner be? The fastest, the smartest, the most gifted …….NO

The winners are the most privileged who have to at least enter the race, make an effort and sprint from the 10 yard line to the finish line without any real regard for those poor losers way behind them.

FAIR RACE?

NO, if you believe in equality for all who are able to compete and win the race on merit and drive.

YES, if the system has taught you that you are justified in winning by belonging to a group, or a type, or family or you're inherently “better” and “endowed for victory” or preordained to lead and all others “BUY IN” to this systematic thinking.

It’s just a matter of keeping the system In PLAY with a balance of Buy In (trying to kick the football before it's snatched away) and proof that some can win in spite of race, ethnicity, gender, place of birth, religion or immigration status. When enough of “them” kick a field goal, all believe “Me Too” if I work hard and keep the dream alive.

So, why the hate? In America and around the world, Homelands are primarily controlled by citizen inhabitants. Mankind has moved, merged, warred and conquered to create new “people groups.” At some point these people identify as the Homeland indigenous and set rules for living (culture) and commit to Homeland (patriotism). They resist disturbance of Homeland by invaders and deem it their duty to protect Homeland ideologies and sovereignty.

Enter "others" who want to enjoy what they perceive is better in your Homeland than in their Homeland justified by every human being is entitled to seek a better life for themselves and their family. These others are received at varying levels of acceptance and rejection depending on perceived threat to Homeland, value to Homeland that they bring, Homeland ideologies for diversity as well as the strength and will of the Homeland to protect culture and values.

In America, a nation of immigrants, it was overlooked that the Homeland was already inhabited and a strong culture was represented here. By establishing a “move over” policy in America the Homeland has exponentially birthed an ideology that DIVERSITY is good and a source of strength while ignoring inherent biases between ethnicities. This is promoted without a necessary education curriculum for teaching ethnic groups how to love, respect and do no hard to each other.

And you wonder why Homeland groups hate those they see as competitors for the finish line?

Only look at history of "other" ethnic groups around the world, like the persecution of Jews and Muslims. UNDERSTAND that we all view the world through the lens of "Our Group." Who is our enemy and who is our friend? Where can we find a green pasture to rest? Where can we win the race? How can we tilt the scales to insure that our group wins?

When we examine personal employment history, ask who hired you and we expose the reality of level playing fields. We hire who we like, who we know, our friends, our family, our kind. We notice that our group advocates for us to win and to get more regardless of the cost to other groups. We set up mentoring and tuition free or legacy programs to give an edge to our group. We promote a system that treats all ethinic groups as equals with buzz phrases like “people of color” and "Black and Brown" regardless of history and contributions over generations.

We see resentment. The hate heats up when we notice people firing one ethnic group and replacing them with members of their group. We see people who have come here in the 1970s and later who are pushing aside people who have been here since the 1800s.

We see resentment. Politicians who know nothing about the history or issues in this multi-cultural and multi-ethnic society feeling entitled to be President, when they are first generation Americans. Who do they really speak for?

We see resentment. Citizens are pushed aside by the loudest voices. Efforts to displace ADOS from enrollment in Ivy League schools in favor of their ethnic group. They beg regional ethnic group members in control of their district to support Affirmative Action. We blink at citizens and noncitizens who use our Homeland as a base for economic support of their Home Country.

We see resentment. White Americans are often framed as “Haters” to be put down. HATE destroys nations, always. It divides and makes conquer possible. But, when you wrap legitimate Homeland protest around hate rather than to examine similar conflict issues reflected between peoples with same skin color, then you fail to expose the fallacy of Buy In for dominance and control. It is not just about RACE.

Do you think that acts of hatred and violence against Asians across the world was new springing from COVID originating in China? This was also from unexpressed long term resentments exploding. Asians are ambitious and come in wanting to make winning possible. Some Asians commented that resentment against them is business as usual when dealing with Black Americans in some locations. It is not new. Why? What have me missed? Do we remember the Watts Riot being more than about police brutality but also reaction to Asian business resentments? Do we miss that when America is deemed the place for the world to come to find the "American Dream" that it is an enticement for the ambitious to competition (push aside) with Homeland talented, bright, ambitious and best as well as Homeland marginal and poor citizens?

Realty justifies examining the minds and hearts of all of the people, regardless of ethnic group affiliation. Who feels denied and who gains? Examine how they "FEEL" when seeing an other group member on television, online or in person. Do they boil inside and turn off the picture? Keep in mind that they are watching people simply participating in life. Ask any ethnic immigrant what they see from the eyes of Homeland citizens.

Therefore, we must anticipate reactions to "other" people who may be good people just doing life; working, taking their child to school, eating at a restaurant or shopping at Walmart. What America refuses to examine or not understand, or tend to ignore is the underlying resentment in heads that think…..

If not for them, I would have a job

If not for them, my child would be in daycare

If not for them, I could get into medical school

If not for them, I would not have had to close my business

If not for them, I would be working at the bank still, cause I don't speak "___"

If not for them, I would have been elected

If not for them, the money would have gone into my community, not their country

If not for them, my IT degree would get me a job

HATE, for people who just wanted a better life. People who attend Sunday services, volunteer at charity organizations, join the armed forces, run for office, are grateful to be in the new Homeland where they sincerely want to contribute. I watched an election hearing held in Detroit in which legislators who were native to Detroit expressed resentment against panelist who grew up outside of Detroit and reacted harshly to witnesses that I believe they dismissed as outsiders.

OUTSIDERS.

WORLD COMMUNITY, ARE WE REALLY GOING TO PRETEND TO NOT KNOW WHY PEOPLE EXPLODE AND HURT OTHERS THAT THEY FEEL JUSTIFIED IN BELIEVING ARE OUTSIDERS, INVADERS AND ARE THE REASON FOR ADVERSE CONDITIONS IN THEIR HOMELAND? OUTSIDERS RESPONSIBLE FOR TRYING TO CHANGE HOMELAND THEY LOVE INTO A PLACE THAT OUTSIDERS WANT TO BE MORE LIKE HOME? ARE WE NOT GOING TO RECOGNIZE THESE ACTIONS OF RESENTMENT SEEN AROUND THE WORLD?

Why the violence? Simply stated..... Homelanders want to be the arbiters of how life is lived in the land they own and resent those coming in, not to join them but to tell them otherwise.

2020 Hindsight.
